Do Not Be Afraid
In life’s storms, Jesus may seem silent — but He is near. Like the disciples in the boat, we’re invited to call on Him in trust. He speaks peace into our chaos, calming not only the wind, but our hearts.
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
Mark 4:39
Storms Will Come
The Gospel shows the disciples caught in a storm, terrified. Fear is part of the journey. Faith does not mean the absence of storms, but the presence of God within them.
The Silence of Jesus
At first, Jesus seems asleep. How often do we feel the same — that God is distant or silent in our trials? Yet He is never absent, only waiting for us to call on Him.
A Word of Peace
When Jesus speaks, the storm is calmed. His word has power — and it brings peace. In our own chaos, His voice still echoes: Do not be afraid.
Faith that Grows in Trial
The storm became a lesson. The disciples' faith was stretched — and deepened. In every storm we face, there is an invitation to trust more deeply, and to see that He is truly Lord.
